CHENEY, Wash. – Eastern Washington head coach Aaron Best had one word to describe his team’s performance tonight: “beautiful”.
The EWU Eagles snapped a three-game series losing streak to the No. 24 Idaho Vandals, knocking off the V’s in Cheney to win Eastern’s first ranked game in two years.
EWU quarterback Nate Bell scored two touchdowns to wide receiver Miles Williams, his first scores of the season after zero endzone appearances last year.
Starting Idaho QB Joshua Wood missed his second-straight game, and the trio of Nick Josifek, Jack Wagner and Rocco Koch combined for 14/32, 191 yards, two passing scores and an interception.
Idaho returns to the Kibbie Dome next Saturday to host the winless Portland State Vikings, and Eastern Washington goes on the road to face the Weber State Wildcats in Utah.
