SPOKANE, Wash. — Despite the wet weather, hundreds of people gathered for MultiCare’s annual Bridge to Brunch 5k on Saturday.
This event supports the MultiCare Academy for Students in Healthcare, which is a free, multi-day experience held every summer for high school students to explore careers in healthcare.
All funds raised through this year’s Bridge to Brunch will provide transportation and meals for students during the four-day camp.
At the end of Saturday’s 5k, participants were treated to a fully catered brunch that included bacon, waffles and much more.
“It was another successful Bridge to Brunch, and the tradition will continue next fall,” MultiCare said.
