MOSES LAKE, Wash. — Washington State Patrol says a Newport man ran a stop sign when he was hit and killed by a semi-truck Thursday.
According to WSP, 77-year-old Joseph Rammel was exiting off I-90 at Road O NE in Moses Lake around 2:30 p.m.
WSP says Rammel ran a stop sign and was hit by a northbound semi-truck. Rammel was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. The semi-truck driver was unharmed.
Troopers say it’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved at this time.
