HAYDEN, Idaho – Kootenai County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered a body from Hayden Lake on Saturday following a fisherman’s report of discovering the deceased individual floating in the water, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the sheriff’s office, they received a call around 11 a.m. on October 5, 2025, from Henry Point on Hayden Lake, east of the City of Hayden. Deputies deployed a drone to locate the individual and later used a marine vessel to confirm the death and recover the body.
Preliminary investigation indicates no signs of foul play, according to the sheriff’s office. The cause of death remains under investigation.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is withholding the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin. The investigation continues as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
