SPOKANE, Wash. — If you’re driving in the area of Spokane Community College this week, you might want to give yourself some extra time to get where you’re going due to some ongoing construction.
Starting Monday, September 29, Washington Department of Transportation crews will be working along Greene Street across the Spokane River, between Mission and Carlisle Avenue, to install new drainage pipes and manhole covers.
The work is expected to continue through October 6 and is part of the North Spokane Corridor Spokane River Crossing project, anticipated to be completed in late 2025.
During the work, drivers going northbound on Greene Street will need to turn left on Mission and then turn north on Hamilton Street. Drivers can then turn right onto North Foothills Drive and continue onto Euclid Avenue and reconnect with Greene Street.
Keep an eye out for construction workers and slow down in work zones.
