If you have an opinion on the proposed electric rate hike by Avista, now is your chance to have your voice heard. The Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) is holding a virtual public comment hearing tonight, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m. to gather input.
If the rate change is approved is approved by the UTC, the commission says a typical residential customer using 945 kWhs per month would see an increase of $4.47 per month, or 4.1%.
You can join tonight’s meeting on Zoom using Meeting ID: 881 0574 2360# and Passcode: 029674#.
Avista Utilities provides electricity to around 403,000 customers and natural gas to about 369,000 customers across 30,000 square miles and four northwestern states, according to the UTC.
