MOSCOW, Idaho — An inmate died in the Latah County Jail last week.
According to the Latah County Sheriff’s Office, the inmate was found unresponsive in their cell on September 16.
Deputies and emergency medical personnel used live-saving measures. The inmate was taken to the hospital where they stayed in critical condition for several days.
The inmate was later taken off of life support and passed away.
The Sheriff’s Office says out of respect for the privacy of the inmate and their family, no further information will be released.
Idaho State Police is handling the inmate’s death investigation.
