PULLMAN, Wash. — Police are searching for a man believed to have been involved in a shooting in Pullman early Sunday morning, according to Pullman Police Department.
Around 1:45 a.m. on September 21, PPD responded to a reported shooting near Pullman Albion Road and Cottonwood Lane in north Pullman.
When officers arrived, they found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.
PPD said it is actively investigating the shooting and has identified 20-year-old Jakori C. Buchanan as a person of interest.
According to PPD, Buchanan should be considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. He is described by PPD as a Black male, 5”07″ tall and 143 lbs.
He is believed to have left the scene of the shooting in a grey 2025 Hyundai Sonata with Minnesota plates (REW514).
PPD said he may be traveling to Seattle with other people.
The shooting appears to have been an isolated incident and there is no known threat to the general public.
