MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Vandals locked down the Utah Tech Trailblazers to win 20-6, their ninth-straight regular-season home win.
The 50th anniversary of the Kibbie Dome featured extra celebrations, the Vandals playing a clean game with just one penalty.
Ryan Jezioro caught five catches for 50 yards and the opening touchdown, while quarterback Joshua Wood threw for 119 yards and rushed for the final score.
Aaron Kinsey caught the game-clinching interception inside two minutes, and he spoke postgame on what that moment felt like.
“It felt amazing,” Kinsey said. “I was the man in the arena for a while, drive was going, play was going, I was out of breath, every play everything was going on nice, was getting big. It was a Cover 3, they ran it before, like two plays before. And I was like, ‘if he throws it again, I’m getting the ball’, and he did it, and I got the ball.”
Idaho travels to San Jose State next weekend, that game kicking off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
