BONNER COUNTY, Idaho — Firefighters are gaining control over the growing wildfire burning near Hope, Idaho on Sunday afternoon, according to Department of Natural Resources.
As of August 17, the ‘Lightning Creek Fire’ burning about nine miles north of Clark Fork is estimated at about 2,515-acres.
The wildfire, which broke out on July 30, is currently 25% contained.
DNR said fire activity is minimal due to wet weather conditions and firefighters will continue to patrol the fire and cool hot spots along the edge.
