SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A convicted child rapist was sentenced to 23 years to life in prison in Spokane County last week.
According to the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, 49-year-old Caleb R. McKee was sentenced for repeatedly raping and molesting a Spokane County girl from the time she was a young child into her early teenage years.
Investigations began in 2019 when the girl reported the events to her high school counselor. McKee had been raping and molesting the child over a ten-year period beginning in 2008.
McKee was charged with eight counts, including rape of a child, child molestation, bribing a witness and tampering with a witness. The bribery and tampering charges came from McKee’s attempts to influence the girl against testifying.
McKee was found guilty of all charges in May of this year. He was sentenced on July 31.
