SPOKANE, Wash. — Starting on Monday, drivers who use southbound Greene Street near Spokane Community College should plan for extra travel time.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, crews will begin installing new drainage pipes and manhole covers in that area starting Monday, August 4 until August 11.
This work is part of the North Spokane Corridor Spokane River Crossing project. That project is expected to be finished later this year.
During the closure, drivers who use southbound Greene Street will need to turn right on Illinois Avenue, travel west and turn south on Perry Street, then turn left on Mission Avenue and travel east to get back onto Greene Street.
Drivers on eastbound Illinois Avenue who need access to southbound Greene Street will need to turn left on Crestline Street, travel north, then turn left on North Foothills Drive, travel west and turn left on Perry Street, then make another left at Mission and travel east to Greene Street.
