SPOKANE, Wash. — The newest member of Spokane City Council is a longtime employee of CHAS health.
On Monday, Spokane City Council voted to approve Shelby Lambdin to fill the vacant role left by former councilmember Lili Navarrete.
The vote passed 4-2, with Councilmembers Cathcart and Bingle voting against.
For the last few years, Lambin has served as CHAS Health’s Health Equity Director, according to her LinkedIn profile.
“I am pleased to announce the appointment of our new Council Member, Shelby Lambdin,” said Council President Betsy Wilkerson. “This decision reflects our commitment to ensuring that our council remains fully functional and representative of District 2 interests. Having previously served as District 2 Council Member myself, I have every confidence that Shelby will contribute positively during her time in office, and I look forward to her valuable input in the decision-making processes ahead.”
Lambdin will serve on City Council until the person who wins the current election for City Council Member, District 2, Position 1, takes office later this year.
