PEND OREILLE COUNTY, Wash. — A man died on Horseshoe Lake over the weekend.
According to the Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office, 64-year-old Webster Kneass III was in a small boat on near the waterfall area of the lake around 3:45 p.m. Saturday.
The sheriff’s office says Kneass went overboard, and witnesses called 911 after he did not resurface for about four minutes.
Pend Oreille and Spokane County first responders were dispatched.
Kneass’ body was located in about 17 feet of water.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner will determine his cause of death.
