SHOSHONE, Idaho — A woman reported missing Monday was found dead in Shoshone County.
The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office says 42-year-old Sarena Christine Harrison was found dead Monday afternoon.
According to the sheriff’s office, Harrison was found inside her vehicle on Coeur d’Alene River Road about 16 miles north of Kingston. A passerby noticed the vehicle around 4:30 p.m. and thought it looked out of place.
The sheriff’s office says Harrison was found with an apparent gunshot wound and a firearm was found in the vehicle. The coroner will determine her cause of death.
She had been reported missing by her family around 2 p.m. from her Hayden home.
Coeur d’Alene Public Schools says Harrison was a teacher at Atlas Elementary School.
