COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department, and Kootenai County Fire and Rescue are holding press conferences Monday afternoon to provide the latest info on the ambush investigation.
According to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Bob Norris will provide an update on the investigation at 2 p.m. PST.

Kootenai County Fire and Rescue and the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department will provide a press briefing at 4 p.m. PST.
The departments say they will be identifying the firefighters who were killed and next steps for the community.

In a Facebook post, Kootenai Fire thanked the public for its support but asks people to not visit the station in-person so crews can have space to process and heal.
