HARRISON, Idaho — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has awarded a loan of over $2.8 million to the city of Harrison to help with drinking water contamination.
The low-interest contaminant construction loan will be used to address manganese contamination in the city’s drinking water source through planning, design and construction.
Funding for this loan is capitalized by grants from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Emerging Contaminants Program, which is funded through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and carries no interest rate.
