SPOKANE, Wash – From a legendary college coach to a Hoopfest legend, several new inductees will join the Hooptown Hall of Fame during the induction ceremony Wednesday night.
Gonzaga men’s basketball coach Mark Few is part of the group that includes former University High School and University of Tennessee player Angie Bjorklund; Lewis and Clark High School and Gonzaga player Heather Bowman; the 1982 University of Idaho men’s basketball team; and perennial Hoopfest favorite JR Camel.
Camel, 51, has been part of several 6′ and under Hoopfest championship teams. He grew up on the Flathead Reservation in Montana and went on to play for the University of Montana.
The Hooptown Hall of Fame began in 2021, with the inaugural class that included coaching legend George Raveling, John Stockton and the two men who started Hoopfest in 1990.
The Hall of Fame ceremony on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at the Hooptown court on the north bank of the Spokane River.
