SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Drivers who use eastbound Interstate 90 in Spokane Valley need to plan for extra travel time Wednesday night.
The Washington State Department of Transportation will be restricting lanes on eastbound I-90 near Barker Road from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 4 a.m. Thursday.
Crews originally patched a large pothole under the Barker Road overpass in February, but cold and wet weather caused the patch to slowly deform over time.
Crews will go through Wednesday night to grind out the entire left lane where the patch is located and replace the roadway with new asphalt.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured off I-90 using the off-ramp at the Barker Road interchange. Once off the interstate, drivers will go through the roundabout and back onto eastbound I-90 using the on-ramp.
