KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — A man died after experiencing a medical emergency and crashing his camper on I-90 in Kootenai County on Sunday, according to Idaho State Police.
Around 3:30 p.m. on June 22, ISP responded to a crashed RV on I-90 near milepost 29.
According to ISP, the 71-year-old driver of the RV experienced a medical emergency that caused him to lose control of the RV.
The RV left the road, traveled up an embankment and turned over.
The driver was pulled from the camper and taken to the hospital for his injuries.
A 72-year-old passenger was not injured in the crash.
ISP said the driver later died from his injuries at the hospital.
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
