SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane man has been arrested as part of an investigation into the exploitation of minors.
Washington State Patrol says 34-year-old Andre Smolyar was arrested by the Eastern Washington Missing and Exploited Children Task Force for promoting a suicide attempt, possessing and viewing child porn, and communicating with minors for immoral purposes.
WSP says during the investigation, evidence indicates Smolyar may have committed forcible assault against minors and used multiple online identities to communicate with minors.
WSP believes victims may be in Spokane, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Orange County, California.
