TORONTO, Ont. – Coming off a tremendous season for the Spokane Chiefs, forward captain Berkly Catton took home the Canadian Hockey League Sportsman of the Year Award.
Catton is the first Chief with this hardware since Pat Falloon in 1990-91, those two the only Chiefs to win.
The Saskatoon native finished this season with 38 goals and 71 assists, his 109 points good for third in the WHL.
The other award winners included Medicine Hat’s Gavin McKenna winning the David Branch Player of the Year and Everett’s Landon DuPont clinching the Rookie of the Year.
