SPOKANE, Wash. — Two protesters with no previous criminal histories were released on their own recognizance Thursday afternoon due to their lack of a previous criminal history.
Erin Lang and Justice Forral appeared in Spokane County Superior Court on Thursday. Lang and Forral were among the more than 30 people arrested during an ICE protest in Spokane on Wednesday night.
The prosecution initially asked for bond to be set at $2,500 for each protester, but the court commissioner released them with no bond due, since neither had a criminal history.
Lang was charged with unlawful imprisonment and failure to disperse. Forral was charged with unlawful imprisonment.
Both Land and Forral were represented by Maxey Law, a firm that is offering free legal help to any protesters that were arrested in Spokane Wednesday night.
Lang and Forral have their arraignments scheduled for June 25.
