SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Deputies arrested a man in Spokane Valley Wednesday morning for stealing from a business on Fancher Road, according to Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 5 a.m. on June 11, SCSO deputies responded to a call about a man trespassing at a business near Fancher Road and Main Avenue.
When deputies arrived, employees provided them with a description of the man who they captured on security video inside the business’ secure parking lot.
Deputies soon found a man matching the employees’ description at a neighboring business.
63-year-old Harold D. Thompson Jr. was wearing gloves and had a bucket containing power tools and a few bags.
SCSO said employees from the first business identified the power tools and estimated their value to be about $1,200.
Upon further investigation, deputies found a truck inside the business’ lot with a broken window and a hole cut into the security fence.
While searching Thomson, deputies found two flash lights, a saw and snippers.
He was booked into Spokane County Jail for second-degree theft, possession of burglary tools and malicious mischief.

Burglary Suspect, a Convicted Felon, Arrested on Several Charges
Spokane Valley Deputies responded to a reported possible burglary in progress at a business on Fancher Road, north of E. Sprague Avenue. Deputies found evidence of a burglary and located a suspect on the side of a neighboring business. Following the investigation, the suspect, a convicted felon, was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges.
