SPOKANE, Wash. — Warm temperatures and dry conditions are prompting burn restrictions across the state of Washington.
The Bureau of Land Management is restricting certain activities on public lands to help reduce wildfire risk in the state.
The impacted counties include Adams, Asotin, Benton, Chelan, Columbia, Douglas, Ferry, Franklin, Garfield, Grant, Kittitas, Klickitat, Lincoln, Okanogan, Pend Oreille, Spokane, Stevens, Walla Walla, Whitman, and Yakima.
BLM says starting Friday, June 13 the following activities are prohibited:
Smoking outside of designated location (vehicles, boats, etc.)Using a fire, campfire, or stove fire (including charcoal)Operating a motorized vehicle off-roadFireworks
