SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A motorcyclist died in a crash with an SUV in Valleyford on Saturday, according to Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 8 p.m. on June 7, SCSO deputies responded to a crash between a motorcycle and an SUV at the intersection of Madison Road and Palouse Highway in Valleyford.
When deputies arrived, they found the motorcyclist severely injured. Despite life-saving efforts, he died at the scene.
SCSO said the SUV was traveling south on Madison and slowed as it approached a stop sign. The motorcycle was traveling east on Palouse Highway when the SUV pulled into the intersection in front of the motorcycle, causing the crash.
The driver of the SUV said he did not see the motorcycle.
At this time, SCSO said drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
