The advisory is in effect for the areas between Chelan and Omak in Washington, across Northern Idaho and toward Kalispell, Montana, including Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, Pullman, Moscow and Sandpoint.
During the advisory there is increased risk for heat-related illnesses like heat stroke.
NWS said that although it is hot outside, the area’s lakes and rivers are still cold and to exercise caution near the water.
To stay safe during the high temperatures, you should drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun and check in on loved ones and neighbors.
