SPOKANE, Wash. — Members of Ferris High School’s graduating class returned to Adams Elementary School today, walking the halls where their educational journey began.
The seniors, dressed in caps and gowns, were cheered on by current elementary students lining the corridors.
“It’s just a lot of nostalgia, it really brought me back,” said Anthony Morgan, a graduating senior.
“It feels like I really, like, accomplished something. And it’s one of the first moments where I’ve been like, oh wow, I actually did this,” said Adelynn Riordan, another graduating senior.
Elementary students held signs as they watched their future selves walk by.
“That was a fun experience because of all the happy memories of bringing books. And I know of, pranking friends and going to birthday parties. Those are the happy times,” said Ashton Edwaren, a graduating senior.
The seniors then met with fifth graders, sharing advice to get involved in activities, stay focused, and finish strong.
“I mean I won’t say it’s easy. It’s like hard to get through it but it’s worth it in the end,” Morgan told the fifth graders.
“It was really surprising and great, because I got to see so many successes,” said Zane Abrams, a fifth grader.
The visit represents a full-circle moment for the Class of 2025 as they prepare for graduation.
