SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – “I was in my 30’s when I learned the sport existed, and now… who doesn’t know what pickleball is?”
Pickleball has been the fastest growing sport in the world for years now and touches almost 50 million players worldwide.
Programs at Power Pickleball Club in Spokane Valley are helping kids get ahead of the game.
The club teaches six-week courses throughout the year and is holding a week-long summer camp in June. Their newest opportunity for kids though: the Jr. Paddle Battle tournament.
“It will be the first larger scale pickleball tournament just for youth in the Spokane area ever, the first one of its kind,” said Jeremy Rosenvall, the owner and CEO of Power Pickleball Club.
The tournament is June 21st at the club and for kids ages 10-18. You can sign up your kid for the tournament here and learn more information about all the programs for kids ages 7-14 here.
