ATHOL, Idaho – A beloved local roller coaster got a makeover over the winter, and you can ride it for yourself for the first time this weekend.
Silverwood Theme Park announced Tremors is ready to roll starting Saturday.
The wooden roller coaster opened in 1999.
The new Tremors will carry riders on Millennium Flyer trains. The ride now features two trains to cut down on wait times.
Those trains will glide on a new steel track, giving guests a smoother, quieter ride that rivals the Stunt Pilot coaster nearby.
Silverwood’s Marketing & Communications Director, Jordan Carter, said on this week’s episode of the Silverwood Show Podcast, “It does not feel like a wooden roller coaster anymore! It is so smooth, and in my opinion, smoother than Stunt Pilot smooth.”
