TORONTO, ON – The Spokane Chiefs will have new threads and sticks next season, as the Western Hockey League (WHL) announced today a switch to Under Armour and Bauer for outfitting and equipment.
Under Armour will be the new apparel, footwear and on-ice jersey sponsors for the league starting next season, creating and supplying game, practice, and authentic jerseys and socks for the players to wear and replica jerseys for fans to purchase.
Bauer is the new equipment sponsor, getting the players their new sticks, gloves, helmets and other protective gear.
For the fans, the league noted that there will be a new jersey system, including “new authentic and tiered replica jerseys”. This could mirror what Fanatics does for NHL jerseys: the cheapest, sublimated jersey, a mid-tier stitched replica jersey, and a 1-to-1 authentic jersey just like the players have.
The WHL said there will be more details on what fans can expect closer to the start of the 2025-26 season this fall.
