SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Firefighters in Spokane Valley helped with a “bear-y” interesting situation near North Beige Road Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Spokane Valley Fire Department, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife asked for its help around 1 p.m. on Tuesday to get the bear out of the tree near a home.
WDFW asked for a ladder truck with a bucket to reach the bear. SVFD was already in the area hosting a regional trench rescue training when the call came in.
A ladder truck from the training came out to help WDFW officers reach the bear.
The bear was tranquilized and safely removed from the neighborhood.
