GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — A Mattawa man died in a rollover crash in Highway 243 Tuesday morning.
According to Washington State Patrol, 52-year-old Sergio L. Corrales was driving south on the highway at around 3:45 a.m.
Corrales drifted off the roadway into the right shoulder. When he tried to correct the car, it rolled over.
WSP said the car came to a rest on its top in the northbound lane.
Corrales was declared dead at the scene. A female passenger was taken to the hospital with injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. WSP said drugs or alcohol were not believed to be factors in the crash.
Highway 243 was reopened around 10 a.m.
