SPOKANE, Wash. — Security footage from the Spokane Public Library shows the moments a driver lost control of his car and crashed into River Park Square.
In the video, 20-year-old Omar Khairi is turning from Lincoln Street to Main Avenue. As he turns, he narrowly avoids some people on Lime scooters, loses control, hits a parked car and crashes into the front of the mall.
Spokane police say Khairi suffered minor injuries but no one else was hurt and he was not suspected of being under the influencer. Police cited him for reckless driving.
