Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the race starting at 8:30 a.m. The course will be lined with over 1,800 American flags. All proceeds from the race will go to Beyond the Call of Duty, an organization that supports the families of fallen first responders and veterans.
On Sunday, bring the family out to Riverside Memorial Park from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the Salute to Service Benefit Concert and Car show. There will be live music, classic cars, cold beer and more. All proceeds will go to Second Harvest Food Bank and Quilts of Valor.
Memorial Day Monday will also have a host of activities, including a heroes breakfast at Riverside Memorial Park at 8 a.m. The breakfast is free for veterans and active service members and $3 for everyone else. Proceeds will go to the Spokane Police Department’s Chaplaincy Program.
After breakfast, you can see the flag cruise through the park at 10 a.m. The cruise will begin in Riverside Memorial Park and travel to Fairmount Memorial Park, where a veterans’ memorial service will kick off at 11 a.m., which will give honors to those who gave their lives in service.
