SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Mark your calendars! Spokane County Fire District 9 is hosting its annual Demo Day this summer.
On June 7, SCFD9 will welcome members of the community for a free family-friendly event at its training center.
During the event, attendees will see live fire and rescue demonstrations, tour a fire truck and enjoy multiple food trucks, including: 509 Dine, The Cuban Way, Have Beans, Kona Ice and Fire Kettle Corn.
Kids will have the chance to try on firefighter gear, participate in the Junior Firefighter Challenge Course and try their hand at a real fire extinguisher.
Smokey Bear will also be there to take pictures!
The event will take place on June 7, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the SCFD9 training center in Mead (3801 E. Farwell Road).
