KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — Voters are showing support for Lakeland School District’s $7.5 million levy in Kootenai County’s Consolidated Election on Tuesday night.
As of 10:30 p.m. on May 20, 82.9% of total voters in Kootenai and Bonner County are in favor of the supplemental levy.
If passed, the levy would replace the current levy, set to expire in June, and fund extracurriculars, safety programs and student transportation.
A similar levy was proposed and failed in November 2024.
Post Falls School District also had a levy on Tuesday’s ballot, which appeared to be passing Tuesday night.
Votes will continue to be counted over the next few days and will officially be certified on May 30.
