SPOKANE, Wash. — Alpine Deli, a specialty German grocery store and deli that served Spokane, has permanently closed its doors.
The establishment, located on 3rd Avenue in South Downtown Spokane, ceased operations on Monday after serving authentic German and European cuisine to the community.
4 News Now previously reported an arson at that location, speaking with owners.

After that incident, owner Andrea Lejeune-Weiler told 4 News Now she was considering not renewing her lease for the property. It remains unclear whether the arson incident directly influenced the decision to close.
4 News Now has reached out to Lejeune-Weiler for comment on the closure but has not received a response at the time of publication.
The deli regularly shared updates about its daily bread offerings and lunch specials through regular Facebook posts.
In response to the closure, customers have expressed sadness about losing access to the authentic German grocery store and its specialty products.
Alpine Deli had established itself as a destination for those seeking traditional German and Eastern European foods in the Spokane area, offering both grocery items and prepared foods.
