SPOKANE, Wash. — If you’re living on Spokane’s south hill, don’t be alarmed if you see more planes flying overhead next week.
Spokane International Airport is closing its primary runaway Monday and Tuesday, May 19 and 20 for maintenance.
GEG says the closure will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day as it conducts routine work to maintain FAA compliance.
During the closure, GEG will utilize its secondary east to west runway which will send more aircraft over the south hill neighborhoods.
GEG says the closures are not expected to impact people flying on commercial flights.
