EATONVILLE, Wash. — Another orphaned cougar cub has found a new forever home at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park in Eatonville.
6-month-old Sienna was rescued in mid-April after being spotted alone for several days near Española, New Mexico.
Sienna was dehydrated and skinny, but in otherwise good heath.
This week, Sienna was introduced to Sullivan, another orphaned cub rescued near Spokane earlier this year. The two are settling in well and are already bonding.
“Sienna has had a rough start, but she’s incredibly resilient,” said Becca McCloskey, Northwest Trek Wildlife Park curator. “She came to us nervous and feisty—understandable after such a traumatic experience—but she’s already settling in. Sullivan is helping her build confidence, and she’s starting to show signs of curiosity and trust.”
Although the cubs are starting to form a strong bond, the wildlife park says there are no plans for breeding the pair.
