SPOKANE, Wash. — Winter is in the rearview and that means it’s time for everyone’s favorite Spokane season: construction!
The City of Spokane announced several projects that could impact you while you’re out and about.
Starting Monday, May 12, a grind and overlay project will happen on Sunset Boulevard between Cannon Street and Government Way. Drivers should avoid the area but can expect lane reductions, flaggers and slowdowns in both directions. The work is expected to be completed Tuesday, May 27.
On 13th Avenue and Grand Boulevard, crews will be conducting a traffic safety project to improve pedestrian access and add a pedestrian rapid flashing beacon.
Drivers should expect 13th Ave. to be closed between Grand and Division. Grand will also have lane reductions. This work will go from Monday, Mat 12 through Tuesday, May 20.
From Tuesday, May 13 to Tuesday, June 3, crews will install a pedestrian refuge island with other safety improvements at Cedar Street and 12th Avenue.
Cedar will have lane reductions and slowdowns. 12th will be closed between Adams and Walnut.
