SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane County residents can register for summer swimming lessons at the county’s two-family aquatic facilities beginning Monday, May 5.
The Northside Family Aquatic Facility in Colbert and the Southside Family Aquatic Facility on Spokane’s South Hill will both accept registrations through the county’s website at spokanecounty.org/parks.
The Northside facility offers Parent/Child classes, Preschool Levels 1-3, and Learn to Swim Levels 1-6, while the Southside location provides Parent/Child classes, Preschool Levels 1-3, and Learn to Swim Levels 1-2.
Five two-week sessions are available throughout the summer:
Session 1: June 9-19Session 2: June 23-July 3Session 3: July 7-17Session 4: July 21-31Session 5: August 4-14
Classes run Monday through Thursday for two weeks, with morning options from 8:00-10:45 a.m. and evening sessions from 5:45-8:20 p.m.
Standard 30-minute classes cost $58 per session, while 45-minute advanced classes (Learn to Swim Levels 3-6) are $68. Families receive a $5 discount per session for each additional sibling registered in the same session.
Parents are encouraged to register early as popular time slots typically fill quickly.
