If a player didn’t hear their name called at the 2025 NFL Draft, that doesn’t mean their chance at the pro level is over.
Immediately following the draft, NFL teams make even more phone calls to guys that went undrafted and can sign them to undrafted free agency contracts.
There’s no limit to how many UDFA’s a team can sign, however, no team in the NFL can have more the 80 players on a roster at a time during the off-season.
If a player still doesn’t get the opportunity with an UDFA contract, they can still get an invite to Rookie Mini Camp. A camp invite is essentially a three-day tryout where rookies can show-off and hope for a spot on the roster heading into training camp with the entire team.
With all of that being said, you can only have a 53-man roster for the start of the regular season. Most teams sign well over 53 players and plan to make cuts throughout training camp and pre-season games.
Now, which local players are getting the opportunity to go pro?
