PEND OREILLE COUNTY, Wash. — Search and rescue units located the body of a Pend Oreille County man reported missing last week.
According to the sheriff’s office, 69-year-old Randy Mesec was reported missing April 15 having last been seen April 8 at his home near Greenhood Road about two hours north of Spokane.
Pend Oreille and Bonner County Search and Rescue crews conducted a four-day search of the area and Mesec was located dead in the woods near his home.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death at a later time.
Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office did not say if foul play is suspected.
