Idaho Transportation Department is asking people in North Idaho to donate some time to help clean up the roads.
On April 23-24, ITD will host ‘Operation Clean Sweep,’ a two-day trash cleanup event.
Volunteers will work with ITD crews to clean up trash along US-95 from Granite Hill to I-90.
To volunteer, you must be 16-years-old or older.
“Grab some gloves, hit the road and help us kick off spring by giving our highways a fresh start,” said ITD.
Volunteers must register and report to ITD’s Athol shed (6303 E. Parks Road) between 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. on either morning to pick up equipment and attend a brief safety talk.
Crews will wrap each day at 4 p.m., but volunteers may choose their own hours after check-in in the morning.
