GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — A Yakima man was arrested in Grant County Thursday following a three-month-long drug trafficking investigation.
44-year-old Santos Tellez Mojica was arrested during a traffic stop on Interstate 90. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office said Tellez was believed to have been moving illegal drugs into and through the county.
During the traffic stop, investigators saw drug evidence in his car. A search warrant was granted to allow law enforcement to search his home in Yakima.
The sheriff’s office says around three ounces of cocaine, two AR-style rifles, AR-style shotguns, three handguns and a large amount of ammunition was found inside the home.
Tellez was booked into Grant County Jail on suspicion of possessing fentanyl with intent to deliver and possession of meth with intent to deliver.
