VICTORIA, B.C. – After a thrilling Game 1 win, the Spokane Chiefs looked discombobulated in Game 2 and 3 losses. Tonight’s showing, even just in the first period, showed a brand-new Spokane team.
The Chiefs scored nine goals in a Game 4 win over the Victoria Royals, evening the Second Round of the WHL Playoffs at two games each.
Rasmus Ekstrom scored a hat trick and added an assist, Mathis Preston scored twice and Andrew Cristall bagged his 11th playoff goal this year.
Game 5 is tomorrow at 6:05 p.m. back in Victoria, and tonight’s Chief win forced a Game 6 in Spokane on Tuesday evening.
