SPOKANE, Wash. — Garry Middle School went into lockdown Thursday afternoon due to a student who brought a replica gun on campus.
A message was sent out to parents around 2:45 p.m. Thursday saying the school went into a brief lockdown due to reports of a possible weapon on campus.
Spokane Police arrived within minutes and found out the gun in question was a replica and not a real weapon.
School officials say all weapons of any kind, including toy or replica weapons, are not allowed on school grounds and can result in serious consequences.
