WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. — Officials are worried about the structural integrity of a road in Whitman County, about 17 miles west of Steptoe.
According to Whitman County Public Works (WCPW), Endicott-St. John Road has been reduced to one lane hear the Jones Road intersection.
WCPW said there are structural concerns about the lane closest to the Carrie Miller bridge.
The speed on the open lane has been reduced to 35 mph.
The department said it does not know when the lane will reopen, but it expects the closure to be lengthy.
Drivers should slow down and use caution on this section of the road.
