DOUGLAS COUNTY, Wash. — WSDOT wants people living in East Wenatchee to know the loud noise won’t last forever.
A geotech sampling process along SR-28 is causing loud drilling in East Wenatchee.
Geotech sampling is a process where researchers and engineers drill into the ground to collect rock and soil samples to assess their properties. It is often used to make sure that ground is suitable for structures.
WSDOT said the drilling, and the noise, will be over by May 5.
